These terms describe the text-messaging programs Answer Line AI operates for businesses, and sit alongside our Terms of Service. Answer Line AI is operated by Softbuildsapps LLC of Salt Lake City, Utah. Questions can be sent through the contact page. Messaging features apply only where texting has been activated on a business's account; message and data rates may apply to recipients, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Missed-call text-back. When a call to a business goes unanswered, is abandoned, or ends without a message, Answer Line AI may send the caller one text from the business's number — in substance: "Sorry we missed you — tap to book" — with a link to the business's booking/chat entry. At most one text-back is sent per caller number in any 24-hour period.
Booking and job notifications. Customers who book a job receive the messages tied to that job: a confirmation and, where the business uses job statuses, "on the way" and "done" notifications, from templates the business can edit.
Owner and on-call alerts. The business's own owner, dispatchers and on-call contacts receive alerts about urgent calls, new bookings and escalations at the numbers they themselves provided for that purpose.
Estimate follow-ups. A customer who received an estimate from a business may be enrolled in a short follow-up sequence about that estimate — by default up to three touches over about a week (day 1, day 3, day 7), with wording the business can edit. The sequence stops immediately when the customer replies, books, declines, opts out, or the business stops it manually.
Review requests. After a job is completed, the customer may receive one text inviting them to review the business, with the business's review link. Review requests are never tied to an incentive, a discount, or a condition on service, and only customers whose job was completed — not only happy customers — are eligible to receive them.
Two-way texting. Customers can text the business number to ask questions, reschedule, or send a photo of the problem. The automated assistant handles booking-intent threads under the same rules as calls; a person at the business can take over any thread, which stops the assistant's replies in that thread.
Messages are sent only on these bases:
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages to people who have not consented, and we do not use purchased, rented or scraped number lists.
Frequency varies by program and is tied to real events, not campaigns: one text-back per missed call (capped daily as above), a small number of messages per booked job, up to three follow-up messages per estimate, and one review request per completed job.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out of further messages from that business's number. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT work the same way. Opt-outs are honored immediately, recorded, and stop follow-up sequences for that number. Reply START to re-subscribe. Reply HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not affect phone calls you place to the business, and operational messages to a business's own team about their own account follow the business's internal arrangements.
A business using messaging is responsible for the accuracy of the customer numbers and estimate records its messages are based on, for honoring opt-outs communicated to it directly outside the platform, and for complying with the messaging and telemarketing laws that apply to it. Answer Line AI provides the consent records, opt-out handling and templates described here as the platform's part of that compliance.
