Acceptable Use Policy — Answer Line AI
Effective date: October 30, 2026 · Last updated: October 30, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Answer Line AI Terms of Service. Answer Line AI is operated by Softbuildsapps LLC of Salt Lake City, Utah. Questions can be sent through the contact page.
1. You agree not to use Answer Line AI to:
- Record or monitor anyone unlawfully — including disabling or obscuring the automated-assistant and recording disclosure, or forwarding lines to the service in a way that evades the recording-consent laws that apply to you or your callers.
- Harass, threaten or deceive — including configuring scripts, greetings or messages that impersonate a human, another business, or a government agency, or that mislead callers about who they are speaking with or what will happen with their information.
- Send spam or non-consented messages — including marketing texts to numbers that have not consented, messages to purchased or scraped lists, or follow-up sequences aimed at people who never received an estimate or service from you.
- Substitute for emergency services — the service must never be presented as 911, an alarm-monitoring service, or a staffed emergency dispatch. Callers in emergencies are directed to 911.
- Misuse regulated services — including collecting protected health information or using the service for medical intake (the service is not a HIPAA platform); relying on the assistant for legal advice to your clients (law-firm configurations are intake and scheduling only); or using it for financial, insurance or other regulated advice.
- Commit or facilitate wrongdoing — fraud, theft of services, evading your own licensing or permit requirements, or violating telemarketing, consumer-protection or privacy law.
- Interfere with the service — probing, disrupting, exceeding plan usage limits, accessing another customer's account or data, or circumventing the test-call gate, billing, or safety guardrails built into the product.
- Resell the service outside the authorized white-label partner program described in the Partner Terms.
2. Your configuration is your responsibility
The assistant says what you configure it to say. Prices, promises, service claims and eligibility statements in your scripts and fee tables are yours, and you are responsible for their accuracy and legality — including any advertising claims your greeting, messages or follow-ups make to your customers.
3. Enforcement
We may warn, suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, proportionate to the violation: unlawful recording, emergency-services substitution, spam and impersonation can result in immediate suspension. Where a violation also breaches the Terms of Service, the remedies there apply as well. If you believe your account was suspended in error, contact us through the contact page and we will review promptly.
