Pilot Terms — Answer Line AI

These Pilot Terms govern the Answer Line AI 14-day pilot and sit alongside our Terms of Service. Answer Line AI is operated by Softbuildsapps LLC of Salt Lake City, Utah ("Answer Line AI", "we", "us"). Questions can be sent through the contact page.

1. What the pilot is

The pilot puts Answer Line AI on your real business line for 14 after-hours nights, so you can judge it on your own calls and transcripts instead of a sales pitch. Your daytime routine does not change: after hours, calls forward to Answer Line AI; during the day, your phones work exactly as before.

2. What's included

• After-hours answering on your real line for 14 nights, using the intake script configured for your trade.
• A setup session of about 10 minutes of your time: business facts, services and durations, on-call rotation, voice selection, and your carrier's forwarding code.
• Real bookings into your configured calendar, with every transcript and recording available in your app.
• Emergency escalation per the safety script and your on-call rotation. The pilot is not an emergency service — callers in an emergency are directed to 911, as described in the Terms of Service.
• A day-14 review of the pilot's transcripts and bookings with us.

3. The test-call gate — no charge before it passes

Setup ends with a live test call made together with you. You are not billed until that test call passes. The gate is enforced by the product: billing cannot start for an account whose test call has not passed, and if forwarding cannot be verified, your account stays in setup. The pilot period itself carries no plan charge. No card is charged during the pilot unless you choose a plan at conversion.

4. Your responsibilities during the pilot

• Provide accurate business facts, services, prices, service areas and on-call contacts — the assistant can only say what you have configured.
• Set up and keep call forwarding in place for the pilot nights, and comply with recording-consent and messaging laws that apply to your business, with the support of our disclosure practices (see the Call Recording & AI Disclosure Notice).
• Run one pilot per business location unless we agree otherwise in writing.
• Use the pilot only for your own business's real calls, consistent with our Acceptable Use Policy.

5. How the pilot converts

At the day-14 review, you choose:

• Convert to a plan at the published prices (for example Core at $397/mo, or After-Hours at $247/mo, plus the applicable setup fee and any overage under the Terms of Service). Billing starts on conversion, under the Terms of Service.
• End the pilot. Forwarding is turned off and your phones behave exactly as before. There is nothing to return and no cancellation fee.

We may also end a pilot early for a violation of the Acceptable Use Policy, or if we cannot verify lawful call forwarding.

6. Your data at pilot end

During the pilot, your recordings, transcripts and job records belong to your business and are visible in your app. If you do not convert, your account stays accessible for 30 days after the pilot ends so you can review and download your transcripts and job records (including the CSV export in Insights). After that window, pilot call data is deleted on the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons. If you convert, your data carries into your paid account unchanged.

7. No guarantees

The pilot is a genuine trial on live calls, which means results vary with your call volume, trade and season. We do not guarantee any number of bookings or any revenue from the pilot. Example figures anywhere in our materials are illustrative, as described in the Terms of Service.
